Currently September and 10 Away From a Give-Away!

It's September, and time for Currently with Farley from Oh Boy, Fourth Grade.  I'm also looking for some friends to link up for a big give-away if I can reach 150 followers (10 away).  Y'all let me know!

My poor hubby is on the couch with the sniffles and sneezes "watching" golf on TV.  He's lightly snoring, too, and LuLu is sleeping on his tummy!  Now, if I changed the channel, he'd be wide awake saying, "I'm watching that!"

My youngest brother had lived away from town for years, moved here for a month, and then was transferred to Texas, before even making a house payment!  He and his wife and children came to town this weekend, and I'm so lucky to have them all - sweet sister-in-law, adorable kiddos, and a funny, smart, and kind brother.  Who could ask for more?  Well, maybe if they could move back...

I've been looking at that 140 followers for weeks, now, and have half that many on my Teachers Pay Teachers store.  I often wonder if it's all worth my time, but I love this blogging world, and the friends I've made here.  Then I realize that if I make something for my students, there's no reason not to share it on TPT, so I'll keep on posting and hoping for that ten more followers, because I'm planning a really big celebration at 150!  If any of you want to get together for a hop and giveaway, let me know!

Seriously? Print out every. single. lesson.??? I've spent hours printing, have nothing filed, and have no copies made for actually using the printed materials. I need the copier queen to visit me!

I think all of us struggle with balance, but I sometimes feel so overwhelmed I don't know where to turn. That's usually when I forget to turn to God, and He's the one who can help us the most!  Maybe it's the start of school, maybe the newness of LLI to me, maybe the fact that we'll find out tomorrow whether Clare Bear needs another tethered cord release surgery, maybe house-hunting, maybe a daughter in middle school in another town from where I teach, and the craziness of getting her from school to allergy shots, dance, etc., maybe all of that combined...now that I've typed all that, who wouldn't be overwhelmed???

So, I'm thankful that Farley is reminding us this month to take care of ourselves.  I'm still dieting like crazy, crossed off another ten last week, and hope to get to the next ten by the end of September.  My wedding dress is too big :), my prom dress might fit if I get that next 8 lbs. off, and being on the treadmill can't hurt! As for the computer, it seems to consume half my life, between blogging, working, and house-hunting, I'm on this thing way too much, which is not helpful to the "bottom" line!
