My Classroom

Wow! What a change from the past has occurred this year! From a regular classroom to an art studio is a dream come true, but not without a little nightmare first! I inherited a studio that had been through five teachers in four years...talk about a disorganized mess. Fortunately for me, I have some really organized friends who helped me pull out every single thing, from every single drawer, cabinet, and storage closet. My principal was so happy to see that the room was finally being cleaned out that he offered to rent a portable dumpster to park right outside the windows! This picture is after about a week's worth of work in the room, when we finally had most things sorted by type. It's an organized mess, I promise.

We finally got everything in a "home" in the room until I started using materials and could decide what worked and what didn't. Along the way, I've made a few changes to where I keep things, but, for the most part, we were right the first time.
